HEAD COACH
Former Welsh National Swimmer & British National Medalist
Leading Tyneside Swim Club’s coaching program, Rory blends technical excellence with athlete-centred mentoring to create an environment where swimmers thrive.
Rory brings over eight years of coaching experience across development and competitive levels. A former Welsh National Team swimmer and British National Medalist, his approach integrates technical precision, mental conditioning, and performance consistency.
Coaching Focus: Technical skill refinement, race strategy, and long-term athlete progression.
Qualifications: Certified Strength & Conditioning coach, competitive background in British swimming.
Coaching Style: Empowers athletes with trust, communication, and discipline.
Oversees: Entire coaching program and performance pathway.

UK & Dubai Experience | MSc in Sport & Exercise Psychology
With a strong academic background and years of hands-on coaching, Lyndsay fosters a supportive learning environment where swimmers grow both in skill and mindset.
Lyndsay Hall – Development Coach
Lyndsay combines seven years of coaching experience in both the UK and Dubai with a Master’s degree in Sport & Exercise Psychology. She’s dedicated to creating a balanced training culture that supports mental well-being alongside technical growth.
Coaching Focus: Foundational skills, confidence building, and psychological preparation.
Qualifications: MSc Sport & Exercise Psychology, certified swim coach.
Coaching Style: Empathetic, encouraging, and focused on athlete self-belief.
Oversees: Skills and Junior Development squads.
HAYDN CLINTON
HAYDN CLINTON
DEVELOPMENT COACH
Haydn brings over six years of coaching experience and a deep passion for helping swimmers reach their full potential. Having worked with athletes from learn-to-swim through to national level, he understands every stage of the swimmer’s journey — from building foundations to refining performance.
His own background as a former competitive swimmer gives him both the technical understanding and mental resilience needed to guide athletes with empathy and precision.
Coaching Focus: Stroke development and technical efficiency, Confidence building and athlete mindset, Transitioning from skill acquisition to performance training, Supporting swimmers’ personal growth and balance
Qualifications: Former competitive swimmer, University swim team coach, Experience working alongside former Olympians
Coaching Style: Positive, attentive, and goal-oriented — combining strong technical feedback with motivation and mentorship.
Oversees: Development and Learn-to-Swim squads.

Former Latvian National Swimmer | 10+ Years Coaching Experience
A results-driven coach with international experience, Valentins blends technical knowledge and athlete motivation to build confident, competitive swimmers.
A former Latvian National Team swimmer, Valentins brings over a decade of coaching experience, including as a Head Coach in the UK. His philosophy emphasizes discipline, consistency, and the value of hard work in achieving excellence.
Coaching Focus: Junior and competitive development, race skills, and motivation.
Qualifications: Certified international swim coach, extensive UK and European club experience.
Coaching Style: Structured, positive, and goal-oriented.
Oversees: Junior Development and Competitive Development squads.
